MS Excel - Level 1
with Michael Stephens
In this one-day workshop you’ll learn the first steps to create and develop Excel worksheets and workbooks in order to work with and analyze the data that is critical to the success of many organizations. You’ll learn: how to use Excel to perform calculations; modify a worksheet; format a worksheet; print, save, and share worksheets. This class is most effective for students wanting to accomplish basic workplace tasks in Excel, or to gain a solid foundation for continuing on to become an Excel expert! This workshop is also a great place to start if you are thinking about taking the Microsoft Office Specialist exam, though more classes are needed to be fully prepared for that. Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Windows are needed for this class.

Conflict Management

Conflict is everywhere – understanding how we manage conflict is crucial to achieving the best outcomes. Successfully completing this Conflict Management course will enable you to:
· Understand your personal response to conflict and how to adapt to another’s conflict management style for a more collaborate approach to problem-solving.
· Explore both the destructive and productive conflict behaviors.
· Discover the reasons behind destructive responses to conflict and how to reframe those responses to be more positive.
MS Excel - Level 2

This class will build on the basic concepts and skills taught in Level 1 and will provide more advanced tools for analysis and presentation of complex, realistic, data in MS Excel. You’ll learn: how to manage complex workbooks, build more complex functions, use data analysis tools, make an impact with powerful chart and presentation features, and collaborate with other users. This class will allow students to perform real-world tasks such as rearranging and presenting complex data. Completion of MS Excel Level 1 or equivalent introductory experience with Excel is needed for this class.
Google Workspace

This class provides an overview about Google Workspace, either free or paid editions, with a primary focus on its most commonly used apps such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Keep, all with hands-on activities. We’ll examine how to utilize its communication and collaboration potential, along with how to use Microsoft and other file formats effectively with Google Workspace. A Google Workspace subscription or workplace account is helpful, though not required for the class.
Bridges Out of Poverty

The effects of poverty are felt in our community every day. This workshop increases participants' understanding of economic class, the importance of the eleven resources, and the impact of hidden rules. This is an introductory workshop and it’s designed for people who work for organizations or businesses that interact with individuals in poverty.
Master the Art of Colored Pencil

Using professional Prismacolor colored pencils, you will learn how to blend colors, create depth in your drawings and bring your art to life! During our 4-weeks together, you will create florals, landscapes, a still life, and work on colored papers. All levels welcome. No drawing experience needed.

Are you ready to expand your painting repertoire? Then join us for this 4-week class and learn how to use water mixable oil-based paint to create a Blow-Up. Not sure what that even means? It means you’ll pick an object, such as the corner of a picnic table that has been painted many times, and enlarge it to the point of abstraction. The technique is about taking a piece of an ordinary object and making it into a work of art!
